Steve Hood has been practicing Social Security disability law for over 20 years.
Mr. Hood worked as a judicial law clerk in the U.S. District Court in Spokane, WA. He also worked for several years as an attorney for the Social Security Administration in Denver, CO and in Seattle, WA, where he received excellent training in Social Security disability law and regulations.
After leaving the U.S. government, Mr. Hood’s solo law practice has focused almost exclusively on Social Security Disability Law. He has represented thousands of disabled people in their claims for Social Security disability benefits. He has represented many of those clients both in hearings before administrative law judges, as well as appeals to the Social Security Appeals Council and to the United States District Court and U.S. Circuit Court.
Steve enjoys spending his free time playing tennis, hiking the great Northwest, and snow skiing. He is also currently writing a screenplay. He graduated from Western Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature, graduated cum laude from Washington State University with a second bachelor’s degree in Communications, and a law degree from the University of Arkansas. He is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.
He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimant’s Representatives, and the Washington State Bar Association.
